Dowdalls in the Registry of Deeds

The following article features a list of miscellaneous deeds relating to various people with the surname “Dowdall" in the Registry of Deeds, Henrietta Street, Dublin. Some of these individuals belonged to a group from Ballymahon, Longford, others to the Drogheda area of the country and some were evidently long established in Dublin city at the time of the drawing up of their deeds. The list is far from complete and is only a tiny sample of the many Dowdalls who feature in this archive. The list  may be of use to family historians of this surname in Ireland, enabling them to make connections between various strands.
