Bram Stoker in 2018

Halloween creeps in again for another year and a packed programme for the Bram Stoker Festival. The History Show tonight features a discussion about Stoker's little-known time spent at Buckingham Street with historians Hugo McGuinness and Mary Muldowney. Hugo conducts a spooky walking tour tomorrow, Monday 29th, and Tuesday 30th. Meeting point at the crossroads, the junction of Ballybough and Clonliffe Road @ 5pm.

Here is a reminder of Historyeye's piece about the turbulent neighbourhood that may have shaped young Bram Stoker's imagination.
