Brendan Behan's Centenary

February 9th, 2023, marks one hundred years since writer Brendan Behan was born at the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street, Dublin. A proud denizen of the Temple Street area of Dublin city, his richly creative life was cut short by premature death in 1964.

Today is a timely reminder of Behan's paternal family tree which Historyeye researched not too long ago.
